REBELZ OP DE BINCKHORST

Mothership approached Studio Ruwedata to make the complete identity/ artwork and interior for this exceptional restaurant concept. Rebelz is a social enterprise and that is reflected in the second chance that is given to everything. Ex-inmates work in the kitchen/ service and are trained as cooks or hostesses. At Rebelz you experience the light and dark side that our lives sometimes have. You can see it in the colors, visual language, the urban feel and you can taste it in the dishes that all have their origin on the street.

The eye-catcher of the restaurant is a big multi layered artwork (wall relief) of wood and gold plexiglass. It contains references to captivity and prison but also the underlying story of the inmates on a positive way and with a healthy dosis of humour. The World Is Yours!. The visual concept is translated to all branding items, such as website, menu, signing etc.

For this big project I collaborated with Li Interior Design and contractor Spalink to make the overall concept a succes!
